1960's
John Mariotti Sr. was a partner in a builder’s supply company specializing in millwork. This company eventually liquidated and some of the stock as well as machinery were moved into a local warehouse for the Marriotti’s next business venture.

John and Ann Mariotti purchased a small lot at the corner of Lake Street and Gary Avenue in Roselle, Illinois with a small home that was turned into a storefront and named Woodland Lumber Company.

1970’s
John Mariotti’s focus remained on selling millwork, but he began to supplement his income by selling firewood weighed on a bathroom scale and railroad ties which were in great demand at that time. At this stage, the Mariotti sons were an integral part of the business as they worked side by side with their father after school and during breaks.

Builders started asking John Mariotti if he could supply windows for their projects along with the millwork and doors he was providing them. It quickly became apparent that windows would be the next product available from Woodland.

1980’s
By this time, Rano Mariotti, Sr, Ralph Mariotti and Ken Mariotti had all joined the Woodland team and their parents, John and Ann as full time employees.

The “Little House with the Doors of Many Colors” at Gary and Lake soon became a popular source for windows and doors, and began to offer high quality installations to their customers in the Chicagoland area.

1990’s
The Mariottis decided it was time to expand their product offerings to include many of the top rated brands of windows and doors.

Woodland had far outgrown the original facilities and the buildings were replaced with a 15,000 square foot state of the art showroom. John and Ann Mariotti officially handed over the management of the company to their three sons, Rano, Ralph and Ken Mariotti.

2000’s
Woodland created four separate divisions: Homeowner, Homeowners Association, Commercial and Contractor to better serve the individual needs of our clients.

In 2009, Woodland Windows & Doors celebrated its 40th anniversary.
