Door systems provide a grand entrance to any home. Your selection should fit in architecturally with the rest of your home, but if you have the opportunity to make a ‘statement’ like this homeowner did, you should do so.

The homeowner selected a classic chestnut color door that perfectly spotlights the home’s entrance against the classic red brick and grand entryway window. Gorgeous six-panel door with clear-glass sidelites accentuated by Simulated Divided Lites (SDL) reminiscent of stately craftsmanship when separate pieces of glass were mulled together with wooden grids. The aged bronze Schlage Vintage style “Addison” hardware and deadbolt matches all the finishing hardware like sill and hinges, also blends with the sconces to create this elegant look.

The Provia fiberglass doors look like wood yet fiberglass composite doors are both affordable and durable. They are particularly well-suited for harsh climates like Chicago, often not needing any touch up for years. The Provia Signet style shown here in a Chestnut stain finish, has an embossed woodgrain that is an astonishingly accurate representation of real wood.
